Jamie Baldridge

Jamie Baldridge was born in 1975 in a small town in the Deep South. He received both his BFA and MFA in Photography from Louisiana State University. He is currently an Associate Professor of New Media & Digital Art.

His work can be found in many collections such as the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Rare Books Collection of the Library of Congress, Cornell University, Louisiana State University's Hill collection, Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, University of Notre Dame, University of Colorado at Boulder, Rhode Island Institute of Technology, McNeese University’s Abercrombie Collection, as well as numerous private collections.

His work and writings have been featured in numerous publications such as Harper's Bazaar, Contemporary Arts China, Elle,Photo+, Zoom Photographic Arts, Oxford American, and Silvershotz Journal of Contemporary Photography. Baldridge is represented by Carbon 12 Gallery in Dubai, Camara Oscura Gallery in Madrid, Spain, Richard GoodallGallery in the United Kingdom, Morren Galleries in the Netherlands, and Modernbook Gallery in San Francisco. Hiswork is carried nationally and internationally by a number of other galleries and has been exhibited widely in theUnited States, the United Kingdom, Europe, India, and the Middle East.

His first book, the Lucie Award winning The Everywhere Chronicles, was released by 21st Editions in 2008. His latest book, Almost Fiction, was published in 2013. His work references many literary, philosophical, religious, and artistic themes such as the symbolism and psychology ofdream imagery, the frangibility of relationships, altered states of consciousness, Jungian archetypes, and esoteric tales and fables.
